pookie is dead

or, at least, will be by the time you read this.

after i got offline, i transferred pookie
to the other cage (the little fish tank). i
put two pieces of that fluffy fiber she
likes in there and made a little bed in the
corner.
i cut her pieces of apple, which, despite
her condition, she readily ate.
that is, she hobbled over to them, collapsed
before an apple slice, and ate from it as
if she had no hands.

she ambled around in shakey circles for
hours until she finally came to a resting
point in the center of the cage.

there she now sits.
there she must have sat for a while, it seems.

presently she has not moved, save the large,
shock enduced breaths currently giving life
to her distressed body.

i have no doubt... that in a matter of
minutes... pookie will finally die.

pookie took her final breath at around 7am CST.

i think she was only about 4 or 5 months old.
i can't believe i'm admitting this...
i balled my freakin eyes out.

there was nothing i could do. NOTHING.
it was a shock for me to first witness her
twitching in her cage... and it all happened
so fast.
